Behind him a large black stone form is draped with garlands of orange marigolds, yellow blossoms, white flowers and purple blooms in vertical bands. A small golden statue stands on a brass base in front, also garlanded, and a brass pot sits at lower left. Tiered red steps with seated spectators are visible at right.2016-12-18January 03 20162016-01-03A woman in an orange sari with a wide yellow border leans over a richly decorated deity murti, adorning or touching it with her hands. The murti is covered in multicoloured garlands of red, yellow, purple and white flowers, with gold jewellery and a golden crown-like headdress. At the left edge a man with a shaved head, white tilak on his forehead and an orange-and-yellow cloth stands nearby. Golden ornaments and a golden figure are visible at upper right. The scene suggests a temple alankaram or puja setting.2015-01-04January 03 20162016-01-03A large dark black stone shivalingam is decorated with marigold garlands in orange, yellow and white, with a red, yellow and purple floral skirt wrapped around its base. A silver band marks its upper section. A metal staircase on the right leads up to a platform where two people stand: a woman in a red-and-gold garland and gold necklace, smiling, and a shaved-headed man in orange-saffron robes holding a white cloth or offering. Several other saffron-clad men are on the stairs and platform. Behind, a gilded temple tower and rows of seated white-clad devotees are visible.2016-12-27
