Photograph of a decorated shrine with a deity murti group heavily garlanded with yellow, orange, white and purple flowers, set under an arched floral backdrop. A central figure with a crown and necklaces holds a raised hand near a mounted image, while a female figure in an orange and gold sari with a white garland stands beside it. A standing figure in blue and yellow with a blue turban stands to the left. In the foreground, a person with long dark hair and gold bangles kneels in front of the shrine with hands together, near brass oil lamps and a gold throne-like seat at the left edge. Strings of small lights hang above and a green and gold curtain frames the right side.

A photograph of a decorated shrine at night showing a deity murti pair seated in an arched alcove framed by garlands of yellow, orange and red flowers. A central figure wears a tall gold crown and red-and-gold robes, with a white-beaded necklace, while a second figure to the right wears a red skirt and gold ornaments. In front, a shaven-headed priest in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl stands at a golden kalasha or lingam-shaped vessel with brass oil lamps and offerings. Marigold garlands hang along the shrine and brass lamps stand on the altar platform, indicating a puja or abhishekam setting.

A photograph of a temple shrine with a central deity murti of a goddess standing in a pink sari, adorned with layered gold and silver necklaces, a tall gold crown, and a garland arch of red, white, yellow and green flowers. Two flanking standing figures in yellow-and-red and pink-and-orange saris, one holding a veena, stand on either side. A golden arch frames a small seated figure in red and orange cloth. In front, a dark stone lion or animal form draped with an orange cloth and white flower garland sits beside a brass bell, a plate of flowers, lamps and a vase of purple chrysanthemums on a dark floor before a deep red curtain. No living people are visible.

Night-time photograph of a priest in an orange-red turban and saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with rudraksha mala beads and sandalwood marks, standing at left and holding a small vessel while facing a richly decorated deity murti. The murti group sits on a blue draped platform with a golden arched backdrop and gilt carved frame, adorned with thick garlands of yellow marigolds, white flowers and red blooms, plus gold ornaments. Brass vessels and flower offerings lie at the base.

A devotee in an orange-red sleeveless garment with a gold-bordered dhoti stands at left, head bowed, arranging a long multicolour garland of orange, yellow, white and purple flowers over the statues. On the right, two gold-clad deity murtis sit on a large golden throne-like seat decorated with heaped garlands in orange, red, purple, white and yellow, draped in a gold-bordered cloth. A crowned figure with a tall gold headdress and gold jewellery is seated centrally, with a smaller companion figure beside. Behind them hang maroon curtains and gilded panels, and other garlanded murtis are visible at left. The scene suggests a garlanding or decoration ritual at a shrine.

Night photograph of a deity murti decorated for procession or ritual display. The central figure is a gilded metal idol in a green and red silk garment, wearing a tall golden crown, ornate gold necklaces and jeweled earrings. It is framed by a large ornate gold arched canopy and draped with thick garlands of white, red, yellow and green flowers. Two smaller attendant figures with tall crowns and beaded necklaces flank the central idol. Behind, a few blurred people in light clothing stand in the dark background, one in a pale sari on the right.

Night ritual photograph in an outdoor temple setting with smoke in the background. Three young men stand at left in orange and saffron dhotis, bare-chested with white ash markings and beaded or flower garlands; the central figure holds his hand toward a richly adorned deity murti. The murti, seated before a gold-framed arch and red drapery, wears a crown, layered red and yellow marigold garlands, sequined ornaments and a long white and silver garment. Two smaller attendant figures flank it, also garlanded. In front are brass kalasha vessels with mango leaves, flower-decorated pots, lit oil lamps and offering bowls on a red-patterned cloth. A standing figure in gold-yellow robes appears at right beside a garlanded pillar. The scene reads as a deity puja or abhishekam; no a person candidate is clearly identifiable.

A photograph of a temple shrine during an abhishekam-style ritual. A large deity murti is seated at the center, dressed in orange and pink cloth and heavily garlanded with multicolored flower chains of yellow, orange, white and purple. Gold-framed niches flank the shrine; a smaller standing figure on the right wears green drapery, a red-orange cloth and a garland. On the left, four priests in orange and saffron dhotis, one bare-chested with rudraksha-style beads, stand near a tray of offerings; one holds a plate. Yellow flower petals are scattered on the stone floor.
