He wears a long rudraksha mala with gold spacer beads around his neck and a white vertical tilak with a red dot on his forehead, and holds a thin reed or grass strand in his hands. Behind him, other children in orange robes sit in a row, and pink flower petals and yellow marigolds are scattered on a colourful striped cloth. White ash stripes mark his forehead and arms, with a red bindi between the brows. He holds a brass or gold ritual implement in his hands, and a silver cup, a small oil lamp and a conch shell sit on a brass tray before him. Two other people in maroon or red robes are blurred at the left edge. The scene suggests a sannyasi-style ritual setting with brass puja items.2013-04-10
