A tiered brass lamp, a multi-level deepam with many lit oil lamps arranged on concentric ring-shaped trays that rise up a central stem, against a dark background. Flames glow along every tier, and a hand holding a long-handled oil lamp enters from the right edge, lighting the top. Warm light scatters across the backdrop. No people are clearly visible other than the partial hand. Ritual lamp lighting, possibly an aarti or deepa puja setting.2013-03-03 +1 copiesJuly 16 20132013-07-16 +1 copiesJuly 16 20132013-07-16 +1 copiesMarch 07 20132013-03-07September 22 20122012-09-22September 14 20112011-09-14A tiered brass lamp stand, a nilavilakku-style lamp, holds many lit oil lamps on successive circular trays up a central pillar. The flames glow warmly against a pale yellow wall with dappled light, and a blurred figure in dark clothing stands at the right edge. No readable name is visible on the lamp; the photo appears to show a lamp lit for ritual worship.2014-11-30March 03 20132013-03-03A photograph of a tall brass multi-tiered oil lamp stand, a nilavilakku-style lamp, with about seven tiers of small flames burning in the dark.
