January 20 20132013-01-20January 20 20132013-01-20A photograph of a man in an orange saffron garment with a gold-bordered shawl and layered gold bead necklaces with a gold pendant, his long dark hair swept back, marked with white and red tilak on his forehead, standing in a line and placing his right palm on the head of a devotee in a light shirt. Several devotees on the left stand with palms pressed together in anjali, some in white shirts and dhotis, others in light clothing, while more people stand behind in a hall with white canopy and grey curtain. The orange-clad figure appears to be giving a blessing, with the scene reading as a darshan or blessing line. Appearance cues of long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and gold necklaces are consistent with Swamiji (probable), shown in person.2011-02-25 +1 copiesOctober 05 20122012-10-05A photo of a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes and a white forehead band with a red bindi, wearing multi-strand beaded necklaces, a gold pendant and beaded armlets. He raises his right hand in a blessing gesture, touching the head of an older man in white who stands with palms pressed together in namaskar. Behind them a younger man, a boy and another older man in white stand near a decorated stage with orange and gold drapes, a red arched backdrop and flower garlands. Presence of a probable Swamiji is indicated by the orange robes, long hair, rudraksha-style beaded mala and ceremonial gold necklace, though his face is not used for identification. The setting suggests a blessing or darshan moment at an indoor programme.2012-09-21September 23 20122012-09-23October 19 20122012-10-19A photograph of a ceremonial blessing inside an indoor hall with maroon drapes behind. A man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, wearing a heavy multi-strand gold necklace, bangles and a gold earring, places his right hand on the head of a bowing devotee in a white shirt with hands joined. Several saffron-clad children stand at left, and shaven-headed priests in orange and white stand nearby. A red tray with ritual items sits at lower right. Swamiji (probable): the standing man has long swept-back hair, a gold necklace and saffron ceremonial clothing, matching the page's Swamiji reference, so this appearance-based label is applied with the caveat that appearance is the basis. Roles are the blessing giver, the devotee receiving blessing, and the attending priests and children.2013-05-24June 29 20132013-06-29March 05 20132013-03-05May 24 20132013-05-24A photograph of a long-haired man in an orange-brown wrap with a heavy gold necklace and rudraksha mala, smiling and extending his hand toward a line of devotees with palms pressed together in namaste. A red bindi and gold earrings are visible. Several devotees stand behind a metal barrier, and a child in orange clothing is in the lower foreground. Red drapery and other robed figures fill the background.2013-06-17
