January 06 20132013-01-06A smiling figure in an orange saffron robe sits on an ornate gold throne with a jeweled crown and a golden kirtimukha-style backrest. Garlands of white jasmine and red and yellow flowers hang over the shoulders and lap, and loose petals cover the seat and cushions. The figure holds a white ceremonial staff in the right hand and rests the left hand on a red tiger-striped cushion. A golden trident stands to the right beside a wall of white and blue-striped floral decoration. The throne and gold arrangement suggest a festival or procession seat. The figure's appearance is consistent with the Swamiji candidate described on the page, with long hair, a crown, saffron robe, and a garland, so this is an appearance-based label only.2008-07-17July 02 20132013-07-02 +1 copiesJanuary 06 20132013-01-06 +1 copiesA seated man in a white turban and cream shawl sits on a golden throne framed by a large arch of marigolds and red roses in yellow, green, red and purple. He wears layered red and white garlands, a rudraksha-style mala, gold bangles and a maroon-brown dhoti-style cloth. A young man in white shirt and dhoti bends forward to offer flowers, and an attendant in orange robes stands at right holding a flower garland. Gold and brass ritual vessels, hanging brass bells and floral strands decorate the background. Swamiji (probable) is the seated figure receiving the bhiksha offering, with his long hair and ceremonial gold and rudraksha adornments distinguishing him as the central honoured figure.2013-07-22January 06 20132013-01-06A photo of a birthday or honouring ceremony in an indoor hall. A seated figure bare-chested, with a pink turban and a white and gold dhoti, wears layered garlands of red, yellow, purple and white flowers. The figure sits on a throne-like seat heaped with marigolds and roses, smiling and raising a hand in greeting. A man in a white shirt bends forward to offer something from a plate and touch the figure's hand. Behind them, a priest in a red-brown dhoti holds a silver tray aloft. To the left, a sannyasi in saffron robes with a rudraksha mala sits beside a golden chair, and a woman in an orange sari and a man in a green shirt stand nearby. A golden throne back frames the scene. The seated figure's identity is uncertain from appearance; cues are limited to the pink turban and garlands.2013-01-06January 06 20132013-01-06 +1 copiesMay 26 20132013-05-26A photograph of a seated man on a red cushioned throne framed by a gold-embossed backdrop and an arch of yellow, red, pink and purple marigold and chrysanthemum garlands. The seated person wears an orange saffron robe, a gold crown with a red tilak, and a white flower garland, and smiles with eyes closed. Two people in white ceremonial clothes stand at the sides showering more petals from woven baskets; the woman at right wears a white sari with a green and gold border, and the man at left wears a cream kurta.
