A standing man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with long swept-back dark hair, rudraksha-style beaded mala and gold-toned armlets, stands barefoot on a small red mat with hands joined in front, eyes lowered. Behind him a black deity murti seated in padmasana wears a purple dhoti and head wrap, gold necklaces and holds ceremonial objects, framed by a white arched niche with an orange cloth backdrop. A red-painted mound of stones surrounds the base, with a small altar bench holding brass lamps and flowers in front. Dappled sunlight, bare sandy ground and tall tree trunks surround the shrine. Appearance-based label: a person, standing in worship before the deity.2012-04-17April 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copiesOutdoors among trees, a man stands barefoot on a black stone platform with palms pressed together in namaskar. He wears a rust-orange dhoti with yellow borders over a bare chest, and a beaded mala hangs around his neck. Beside him a shrine holds a black stone deity murti dressed in yellow cloth with a yellow head covering and red garlands, set in an arched white frame with a green curtain. In front of the shrine is a mound of red offerings, with a small stone seat and a small rug on the ground. The man is a devotee at the shrine, and the page indicates a person's presence but his appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2013-05-13Outdoor shrine under dense banyan-type trees with aerial roots. On the left, a man stands barefoot on a stone step wearing an orange-saffron cloth, a gold-coloured garland of beads, and gold armlets, with a small red-and-white mat beneath his feet. On the right, a black stone deity murti with multiple arms and a yellow cloth and yellow garment sits inside an arched white stone niche draped with a brown-orange curtain. A mound of red kumkum or offering powder lies at its base, with small brass lamps and a pink-and-white cloth on the ground. Swept earth and a grey stone slab fill the foreground.2013-01-19March 22 20132013-03-22Outdoor shrine area under trees with reddish earth and stone steps. A man in a cream-yellow dhoti and wrap with a gold border stands barefoot on a red-patterned mat, one hand raised to his forehead in salutation and the other hand on his chest, wearing a long beaded rudraksha-style mala and gold bangles. To the right a black stone deity murti stands before a red curtain in a carved white arched niche, wearing a yellow garment, garlands and a crown, with a large heap of red kumkum at its base, small brass oil lamps and a low bench in front. Rough ground, bricks and a few patterned mats complete the scene.2012-04-18 +1 copiesA man in flowing saffron-orange robes with long, swept-back dark hair and a long ornate gold-beaded necklace stands at right, holding a brass bell in one hand and a brass aarti lamp with a lit flame in the other, performing a puja before a golden deity murti. The murti is seated within a silver arched shrine framed by red cloth, wearing a red headcloth, garlands of white, yellow and purple flowers, and a rudraksha-style mala. In front of the shrine is a mound of red-painted stones or offerings bordered by a black band with white dots. Tall trees shade the open paved courtyard, and the polished black floor reflects the shrine. The man is the only physical person visible. Swamiji (probable): the robed figure with long hair, saffron clothing and a long gold-beaded necklace performing the aarti.2010-02-12July 02 20132013-07-02 +1 copies
