A person in a flowing saffron-orange robe with long, swept-back dark hair and a black rudraksha-style bead necklace bends forward at a temple altar, pouring water from a golden kalasha pot over a small golden deity figurine on a wooden stand. Behind the altar a black shivalinga stands on a black peetha, with yellow marigold and multicolored garland decorations. Two large deity murtis wearing gold and red ornamentation sit in the background, and a pink cloth hangs at the left edge. The scene reads as an abhishekam or pranapratishta-style ritual.2009-03-29 +1 copiesNovember 09 20072007-11-09A close photo of an abhishekam being performed.
