Behind them, a large gilded arch frames a pair of ornate deity figures decorated with garlands in yellow, purple and red, and a golden kalasha sits on a red-draped altar. Brass lamps stand at the sides and metal bowls rest on the floor, indicating an abhishekam ritual. A small white statue in orange robes sits behind the priest, and the priest's face is turned away.2010-11-12June 22 20132013-06-22A temple abhishekam scene at a shrine with gilded arch and deep red drapery. A shaved-headed priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha mala and white tilak, bends over a black stone Shivalinga on a basin, pouring liquid. Behind him are a gold-crowned deity murti with a trident and a standing figure in a green cloth. Two women in maroon saris attend nearby, one at a brass offering table with bowls and a kalasha, the other kneeling at the basin's edge. Small gold icons and flower petals lie on the wet floor.2013-06-22June 23 20132013-06-23June 23 20132013-06-23A person in an orange saffron robe and layered beaded necklaces pours liquid from a golden vessel over a dark black Shiva linga on a stone yoni-shaped pedestal during an abhishekam. Behind, gold-framed arches and a deep red curtain frame golden deity murtis: a Shiva-form image wearing a white garment with red and white garlands and jeweled necklaces, and a smaller figure in orange with a flower garland. Water runs down the pedestal, and a coconut sits at the base. Another person's shoulder is visible at lower left.2009-10-17June 23 20132013-06-23June 23 20132013-06-23June 22 20132013-06-22 +1 copies
