A photo of a decorated deity murti of Murugan with two consorts seated on a cushioned throne before an ornate silver arch. The central figure wears a golden crown, holds a spear, and has heavy gold jewellery and a rudraksha-style necklace. Two smaller attendant figures flank him in gold crowns and jewelled necklaces. Garlands of red, yellow, white and multicolour flowers drape around all three figures, and a red-and-gold silk cloth covers the seat, with a white draped cloth below. This is a statue, not a living person.2013-07-18November 06 20132013-11-06April 30 20152015-04-30July 17 20152015-07-17July 18 20132013-07-18 +1 copiesNovember 08 20132013-11-08July 18 20132013-07-18Photograph of three ornately decorated murti statues on a golden-framed stage, set against a dark blue draped backdrop. The central figure is a standing deity murti wearing a golden crown with a red band, a heavy gold necklace and a green-stoned pendant, and holding a long spear. Flanking him are two smaller figures: on the left a murti in a red and gold turban, holding a staff and wearing gold necklaces; on the right a murti in a tall gold crown, holding a staff. All three are draped with thick garlands of white jasmine, red and yellow marigolds, and gold-threaded ornamental strands, and they stand on a blue brocade cloth over a yellow skirted base.2015-07-31September 04 20082008-09-04February 24 20152015-02-24A deity murti (metal statue) of Murugan/Subramanya stands centrally, dressed in an orange turban and crown, teal silk garment and heavy gold jewellery, holding a spear (vel) and a staff with a flag-like finial. Two smaller deity figures in teal silk and gold ornaments flank it, all framed by dense garlands of red roses, yellow marigolds and purple flowers. No physical people are visible; the figures are statues.2011-11-01October 19 20152015-10-19
