Yellow and red marigold garlands hang over a golden deity-shrine backdrop behind him, with brass lamps and a kalasha-like vessel visible, and yellow flowers are arranged at his feet on a cushion. He gazes to the side with hands resting on the armrests.2010-07-24A man with long, swept-back dark hair sits on an orange-draped white throne-like chair in an outdoor temple courtyard. He wears a sleeveless orange robe draped over the body and a heavy ornate gold necklace of large beads, and his bare feet rest on an orange cushion. Behind him are a carved stone deity shrine with a seated figure, brass lamps and a brass bowl of yellow flowers, and a red iron railing with greenery. The orange clothing, long hair and gold necklace are cues consistent with the page's reference to Swamiji, so the figure is an appearance-based probable Swamiji (probable) seated in person.2010-07-24December 21 20162016-12-21 +1 copiesDecember 21 20162016-12-21 +1 copiesA photograph of a man seated on an ornate gold-carved throne with red zebra-patterned cushions, in front of a painted backdrop of banyan tree roots. He wears a saffron-orange turban, a saffron-orange sleeveless wrap, and a long rudraksha mala around his neck, with a red tilak mark on his forehead. His hands rest in his lap and his feet are bare on a red cloth-covered step. Based on the visible cues of saffron turban, saffron wrap, rudraksha mala and ornate throne, this is Swamiji (probable), seated in a teaching or darshan setting.2010-08-28December 27 20092009-12-27Photo 11703912 +1 copiesJuly 16 20162016-07-16 +1 copiesA photograph of a ceremonial scene in front of an ornate gilded throne with elaborate scrollwork and a golden trident-topped staff in the foreground. A smiling man in orange-saffron robes and a matching orange turban sits on the throne, wearing a long garland of red, orange and white flowers and a rudraksha-style bead necklace, his hand resting on a red cushion. At left, a bearded ascetic with long matted hair piled on his head, white ash markings on his forehead, layered bead necklaces and a yellow-orange shawl bows toward him. Behind them a man in glasses and a white shirt stands near a tiger-striped cloth draped on the seat, and a second orange-robed figure stands at the right edge. Ceremonial gathering with a sacred, honouring atmosphere.2016-05-02
