February 28 20132013-02-28A tall copper flagstaff with ornate carved base and ribbed bands stands on an orange-tiled platform, decorated with yellow and white marigold garlands. Two men in saffron-orange robes handle ropes that run up the pole, one on the left wearing a rudraksha-style mala and the other on the right with a shaved head, holding a tray or dish. Coconut palms and clear sky frame the outdoor scene.2011-03-05 +1 copiesDecember 23 20082008-12-23October 03 20162016-10-03A tall, copper-clad ceremonial flagstaff rises against a clear blue sky beside a corrugated metal shelter roof. Its base is carved with ornate reliefs, and marigold and yellow flower garlands hang from its middle. A man in saffron-orange cloth with a red sash stands at the left, reaching up to adjust a red-and-white flower garland on the pole's bracket. Beside him, a second man in orange robes wears a beaded necklace and holds a small object in his hands. Palm trees appear at left. A multicoloured cloth streamer hangs at the right edge. The scene suggests a flag hoisting ritual.2011-03-05December 23 20082008-12-23Outdoor photo of a tall, slender copper-coloured flagstaff rising from an ornate stone base carved with figures and garlanded with yellow and red marigold strands. A man with long dark hair wears an orange-saffron robe and a white flower garland; he stands at the base and rests one hand on the carved pillar. Coconut palms and a clear blue sky frame the scene. A young man in orange clothing stands at the right edge, and a red-and-white banner hangs from ropes on the left. The page indicates Swamiji was present, and his appearance (long swept-back hair, saffron robe, garland) is a compatible cue, so this is a probable Swamiji presence during flag-hoisting at Brahmotsava, with the orange robe and garland the qualifying cues.2008-12-23Low-angle photograph of a tall, ornate copper dhvajastambha-style flagpole rising against a pale sky, its base carved and decorated with flower garlands and leafy greenery near the top. A bearded man in a reddish-brown robe and a red-and-yellow marigold garland stands beside it, pulling a rope that runs up the pole, a ritual act of raising the flag. Coconut palms and trees frame the scene, and a partly visible person's hands are raised in namaskar at the right edge. Ceremonial raising of a flagstaff at an outdoor temple-style site.2016-10-03 +1 copiesPhotograph of a tall, slender copper flagstaff with ringed bands rising from an ornately carved base that holds small carved figures and a seated meditating figure in a niche. A person in orange robes with a dark rudraksha mala and a gold-bordered orange cloth is hauling a red, white and orange flag up the pole by its rope. Another person in white clothing with a gold-edged shawl stands beside them, looking up. Palm trees and a tin-roofed structure frame the outdoor scene under a bright sky.2011-09-02Low-angle photo of a tall copper flagstaff (dhvajastambha) rising against a pale sky, its wooden base carved and wrapped with white and yellow flower garlands and green leaves. A man with long dark hair and a dark beard, wearing a marigold garland with orange and red flowers, a rudraksha-style necklace and a dark robe, pulls a rope that guides the pole. Another person in dark clothing and an orange cloth stands at the right edge. A palm tree and foliage fill the background, and a tiny logo sits at the lower left. Two people are visible in the scene; the visible man's appearance is consistent with the page's a person reference only partially, so the identity is unsure.2016-10-03October 03 20162016-10-03A photograph taken from below of a tall copper dhvaja stambha, a ceremonial flagpole with a bronze-brown finish, wrapped in twisted bands and topped with an orange cloth. Its carved base rests on a red stone platform beneath a corrugated metal roof. A man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl stands at left, with long hair and a dark mala around his neck, holding a small ritual vessel and lamp near the pole. A second man in orange robes stands behind him with hands folded in namaskar. Marigold and yellow garlands hang from the pole, and a striped cloth streamer dangles at right under a clear blue sky with palm trees.2011-03-05
