Orange-saffron cloth is draped over the knee and a red-brown garment lies beneath. A hand with a thin cord bracelet rests near the foot against a white background. Ritual ankle bells suggest a dance or ceremonial setting, and the foot appears to be a seated person's during a ritual.2013-12-18Close-up photograph of a bare foot and ankle resting on a red tiger-striped velvet cushion beside a patterned textile. A brown leather ankle band studded with brass bells is strapped around the ankle, and a thick twisted rope lies across the leg. A brass finial with tassels sits in the background. The foot wears a wide copper or bronze anklet hung with many small bell-like pendants. Nearby, a dark carved stone or metal pedestal holds small yellow-orange offerings, and a red cloth sits beneath the gilded base. Red and gold fabric covers the seat above, and a metal pole stands at the right edge. The scene is lit with warm reddish and green tones.2013-05-01August 02 20142014-08-02
