Several men in saffron-orange robes with garlands of yellow and white flowers stand around the table, one holding a small shell-like object near his mouth. The table holds silver bowls and plates of bananas, fruits, sweets, cut fruit, flowers, a silver kalasha pot decorated with yellow marigolds, and a brass lamp with a lit flame. Two young men in white dhotis and orange robes stand on the left, one with a white-and-red forehead mark. Older men in white shirts and dhotis walk nearby. Behind them is a blue tarpaulin roof over a thatched shed and a hazy hill.2011-01-17A ritual offering table set outdoors before a red-painted temple structure. At center a silver kalasha topped with a coconut is garlanded with yellow marigolds and red flowers. A silver tray holds a heap of white round sweets, possibly modak or laddu-like balls. Nearby are a silver lamp stand with a dried garland, small bowls of kumkum, turmeric, red powder and rose petals on a silver plate, and a red-and-gold patterned cloth covers the table. Two people in orange-brown robes are partly visible at the edges, one at the left and one with a hand at the lower right, but their faces are not shown. The scene reads as a puja preparation.2013-12-18September 07 20172017-09-07 +1 copiesClose photo of a homa ritual. In the left foreground, a figure in orange saffron robes and a rudraksha mala holds a large green leaf over a silver kalasha-style vessel and silver spouted pot set on a tray. Right, a brass kalasha wrapped in fine mesh holds pink flowers and mango leaves. Yellow and orange marigolds and pink flowers line the altar edge.2009-09-25December 30 20092009-12-30January 15 20162016-01-15December 25 20082008-12-25August 25 20162016-08-25
