A temple ritual scene in which a person in a brown dhoti-style garment with gold borders, bare-chested and with long dark hair, stands barefoot and adorns the deity murti on the right with a garland. The murti wears an orange and gold headdress, gold jewellery and a magenta and green garment, and is surrounded by thick garlands of red, yellow, green and white flowers. A second decorated murti on the left sits on a gold palanquin-like seat under a canopy, draped in a green and magenta cloth and garlanded with white and red flowers. Scattered petals and a gold-edged dais lie in the foreground, and a teal-blue wall with ornate gold arch framing sits behind.2012-04-23 +2 copiesMay 25 20132013-05-25 +1 copiesApril 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copiesApril 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copiesA photograph of a person with long dark hair, wearing an orange sari-style garment with a gold border, bowing forward with the head pressed against a richly decorated deity murti. The murti wears a maroon silk garment with gold zari border, layered diamond-studded necklaces and a jewelled crown-like ornament. Dense garlands of yellow, white and red flowers surround the figure, and a metal bowl and bronze feet of the deity are visible at the lower right. The scene suggests an act of devotion at a shrine in a temple setting.2007-01-01May 30 20182018-05-30Photograph of a bare-chested man with very long dark hair worn loose down his back and a mala of beads around his neck, standing in orange-brown dhoti, hands folded in anjali before a richly decorated deity murti. The murti wears a gold and red crown, a gold necklace, and heavy garlands of white, yellow and red flowers with green leaves and a green silk shawl. Behind it, gold embroidered textiles with blue and maroon borders frame the shrine. To the left stands a black stone figure and a dark bell or lamp, a silver oil lamp with yellow flower garland sits at right, and banana leaves hang above. Reading the scene as a puja before the deity, with no other people visible.2016-12-19A devotee in an orange-red sleeveless garment with a gold-bordered dhoti stands at left, head bowed, arranging a long multicolour garland of orange, yellow, white and purple flowers over the statues. On the right, two gold-clad deity murtis sit on a large golden throne-like seat decorated with heaped garlands in orange, red, purple, white and yellow, draped in a gold-bordered cloth. A crowned figure with a tall gold headdress and gold jewellery is seated centrally, with a smaller companion figure beside. Behind them hang maroon curtains and gilded panels, and other garlanded murtis are visible at left. The scene suggests a garlanding or decoration ritual at a shrine.2015-01-09January 04 20152015-01-04April 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copiesMay 26 20132013-05-26 +1 copiesMay 26 20132013-05-26
