A shaved-headed priest in a plain white dhoti with a gold-bordered shawl holds a silver aarti plate of yellow flowers and a lit flame toward a second shaved priest in an orange cloth, while smoke rises. Several women in white saris with gold borders and an orange-sari woman stand with hands folded in prayer. A small brass oil lamp hangs on the left wall and a plate of yellow flowers sits on a table. The priest's appearance does not clearly match the a person cues, so no identification is made.2011-10-06A photograph of an outdoor ritual at a shaded open pavilion decorated with banana leaves and pink flower garlands. A man in saffron-orange robes and a matching turban, with a sandalwood-marked brow and a long rudraksha mala, holds a bunch of bananas. Beside him a shaved-headed priest in rust and gold dhoti with a gold-bordered shawl stands near a brass plate of offerings. Another man in rust-colored robes and a rudraksha mala holds a tray and applies a mark to the forehead of an elderly white-bearded man in orange robes with white forehead markings. Women in orange and white saris and other devotees stand nearby. Overall the scene suggests a devotional offering or blessing ceremony.2015-04-28May 31 20122012-05-31Night photograph of a group of people in saffron, orange and maroon robes outdoors beside a wooden building with a tiled roof. On the left a bald man in a rust-coloured shawl with a matching orange-brown garland bows with palms together toward an older bespectacled man in a saffron robe, who has his hands folded in namaskar. A man in a white dhoti with gold border and a rudraksha mala stands in the centre. A young man in an orange robe with a white headband and a rudraksha mala holds a silver plate with a yellow fruit, green leaves and pink flower petals, as if for an offering. On the right a smiling man with white tripundra marks and a red-brown robe and garland stands near a camera. A bald, bespectacled man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala stands centre-left, receiving an offering from a man in a saffron-and-gold wrap. Nearby, a man in orange with a rudraksha mala holds up a small green offering. Other devotees in orange, maroon and white stand and sit on mats and floor cushions. The figure's appearance is not a clear match for the a person description, so he is treated as an unidentified monastic devotee.2016-02-23July 21 20102010-07-21A group of saffron-robed sannyasis stands in a whitewashed hall with a tin roof, several with palms pressed together in greeting. One bowing sannyasi in the centre has a shaved head and a draped orange shawl. At the left, a man in white dhoti with a yellow scarf stands near a table of brass items. In the foreground, rows of brass oil lamps and a brass plate with flowers and offerings sit on a red cloth.
