Indoor photograph of a smiling man with long, swept-back dark hair, a white vibhuti band with a red bindi on his forehead, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl with gold borders, layered beaded orange and gold necklaces, and gold armbands. He is greeted by a man with folded hands on the left, while a shaved-headed priest in orange robes and an elderly white-bearded man with a white forehead mark stand nearby. A carved gold arch and green foliage backdrop frame the room, and a metal barrier rail is visible. The distinctive long hair, saffron attire and ornate necklaces are cues for a person presence in person, shown receiving a devotee's greeting.2012-09-19 +1 copiesSeptember 26 20122012-09-26September 26 20122012-09-26A photograph of a procession walking down a red carpet inside a decorated hall. Behind him a younger man in matching orange robes and gold-bordered cloth carries a silver vessel with flowers and a garland. Other attendants in white dhotis with sacred ash markings walk behind, and a golden staff with a tall finial stands at left. Overhead are palm-leaf decorations, marigold garlands, and colourful tasselled fabric, with spectators at the right edge.
