In the foreground, several women in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas hold lit oil lamps (diyas) and make gestures of offering; one woman on the right wears glasses and a saffron robe, and another in the centre wears an orange garment with a beaded necklace and white forehead markings. A woman at left in a white sari with a red-brown mala holds a lamp, and others in white and orange sit behind them, many with white forehead markings and hands joined in prayer. Chairs, a table and a small brass tray with offerings are visible in the background, and the scene is lit with warm, bright light.2014-09-07A large indoor hall filled with a dense crowd of devotees, mostly women, seated on the floor and in chairs, dressed predominantly in white with some in red, teal, and yellow saris and kurtas. Many hold small oil lamps or diyas in their hands and some have palms pressed together in prayer. Several wear rudraksha malas and bindis; a few have sindoor and vibhuti marks. No a person is clearly visible in this crowd shot, and the front rows are full of participants with lamps and conference-style name badges. A red tote bag and small offering trays sit on the floor in front.2013-12-05A large seated gathering of mostly women in white and cream clothing holds small oil lamps with lit flames during a devotional ritual in an indoor hall. In the foreground, a woman in white with dark beaded rudraksha-style malas and a red bindi raises her right hand, while a woman in a green blouse and red shawl holds a lamp. A devotee in a white sari with pink border and a rudraksha mala holds a lamp and has sacred ash marks on the forehead. Another woman in white with a mala holds a lamp at the right edge. Behind them, rows of attendees in white, green, pink and teal outfits sit on chairs and mats, many holding lamps. The scene suggests a lamp-lit satsang or aarti.2013-09-29A seated group of women in white and cream ritual dress, many with yellow shawls and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, hold small oil lamps with lit flames while sitting on the floor. Brass and clay lamps and small offering plates rest on cloths before them. Behind them, more seated participants in white and some in orange wraps fill the hall, with a draped white backdrop and a green-covered table at the left. The scene resembles a group lamp-lighting ritual during a satsang or ceremony.2010-12-02A photo of a large seated congregation performing an evening ritual indoors. Many women and girls sit cross-legged on a tiled floor, most holding small brass oil lamps or lit diyas and brass bells, with some hands in anjali. A girl in a plum-coloured dress and white shawl, wearing a white forehead marking, rings a brass handbell, while nearby a girl in white with a white flower in her hair holds a brass bell. A woman in white with a red bindi and rudraksha-style beads offers a flame. Brass plates with offerings, a red handbag and a teal bag sit on the floor. Only the edge of an orange-robed figure is visible at the left. Ritual with oil lamps and bells suggests an aarti or puja, but no deity or a person is clearly shown.2011-12-02A large seated congregation of devotees in white and red attire holds small brass oil lamps with lit flames during a devotional ritual.
