A large group of men in white ritual dhotis and shawls sit cross-legged on orange and purple mats during a puja, many holding up lit oil lamps in their right hands. Several shaved-headed men wear rudraksha malas and white and red-striped shawls, and some have vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads. Brass and steel plates, bowls and small oil lamps with flowers are arranged on the floor in front of them. Behind them, rows of seated devotees in white and colourful clothes press their palms together. No individual is clearly recognizable as a person from appearance; the figures are ritual participants in white clothing, so identity is unsure.
