May 13 20122012-05-13Indoor ceremony in a bright room with an air conditioner and a tower fan. A man in saffron-orange robes with a gold necklace, bracelets, and a white forehead band sits on a red velvet-covered seat, his bare foot extended toward a brass plate of flowers and offerings. Seated on the floor to the right, a man in white ritual clothes with a rudraksha mala and forehead marks holds a small object. Several women in saris sit nearby, some with hands folded in namaste, and a brass oil lamp stands at the left. The red-and-gold carpet and seating suggest a satsang or darshan setting. The seated figure in saffron is a person candidate by his distinctive saffron robes, gold ornaments and forehead marking; the seat itself is not used as evidence.2012-10-15May 20 20122012-05-20May 20 20122012-05-20May 13 20122012-05-13A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, a rudraksha mala, a white flower garland, a red-and-white forehead mark and white-painted arms. Before the throne a gold padapuja stand holds pink flowers and a silver-tone platter, with a silver plate of offerings nearby. Three devotees kneel in prayer with hands folded: a man in white with glasses, a younger man in white, and a woman in a multicoloured sari, with a second woman in white beside them. Blue shuttered doors and white pillars stand behind, with a portable cooler at left.2012-05-19May 13 20122012-05-13May 20 20122012-05-20Photograph of a seated ritual in a temple-style hall with pale yellow columns and a blue-framed wall. A man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions, wearing a long white flower garland, a rudraksha mala, and a red tilak on his forehead; he holds a small white object and smiles. Around him, devotees kneel on a striped rug with hands folded: a woman in a pink sari, a man in white dhoti with yellow shawl, a woman in a patterned sari, a young man and a child in orange. On the right a man in white dhoti with sandalwood tilak and rudraksha beads sings into a microphone. Silver bowls with offerings and flowers sit before the throne, and two cooler units stand at the sides.2012-05-13May 20 20122012-05-20August 09 20092009-08-09May 02 20142014-05-02
