February 26 20132013-02-26A man with long, swept-back dark hair stands barefoot on a low stone ledge beside a large banyan tree, leaning his head and right hand against one of its thick aerial roots with eyes closed in devotion. He wears a sleeveless orange-red wrap with gold-brocade borders and matching orange-red trousers, and a long necklace of gold beads hangs on his chest. White kolam designs are drawn on the ground at his feet, and stone platforms and a small shrine area are visible in the background.2010-12-28A man in a saffron-orange robe with matching orange border trim stands barefoot beside a large banyan tree, one hand resting against its thick aerial roots and the other held at his waist. He wears a long necklace of golden beads and has long dark hair swept back, with his eyes lowered in a quiet, reverent pose. White kolam designs are painted on the ground around the stone base of the tree, with a small shrine and a green object visible in the background among trees on a sunlit compound.2010-12-28April 06 20132013-04-06January 19 20132013-01-19December 26 20102010-12-26A barefoot man in flowing saffron-orange robes stands on a low stone ledge, leaning his head and right shoulder against the thick, aerial-rooted trunk of a large banyan tree with eyes closed. He wears a gold headband, a red bindi on his forehead, layered gold beaded necklaces and an orange shawl edged with gold border, with his hand resting on his chest. The ground around him is bare earth with white kolam-style line drawings and scattered coloured powder. Grey pillars and a low wall appear in the background among trees. The swept-back long dark hair, saffron robes and gold ornaments are cues consistent with the a person description, but the appearance is not certain enough to confirm identity, so the figure is described as a devotee in meditative posture.2010-12-27June 25 20132013-06-25 +3 copiesMarch 02 20132013-03-02April 01 20132013-04-01 +2 copiesA photograph of a man in profile with long dark hair tied back in a bun, eyes closed, leaning his head and right hand against the trunk of a large tree.
