Yellow and red marigold garlands drape the statues. In front, a figure in an orange robe sits at the base holding a plate of flowers and offerings, while a smaller white-clad figure sits nearby. Offerings of fruit and flowers are placed on a stone ledge, and a smaller deity murti sits to the right, also garlanded. The scene suggests abhishekam or puja at the shrine.2010-07-21A photograph inside a stone shrine with a gold-framed arch and blue velvet drapes at the left. A large painted deity image on a blue backdrop, garlanded with multicoloured flowers, holds up raised hands and wears a crown and jewellery. In front, a figure in an orange robe with a bare or shaved head sits cross-legged on the platform, facing the deity and performing puja. Oil lamps and offering plates are set on the stone ledge, and a dark stone Ganesha relief stands at the left.2008-09-30March 30 20132013-03-30July 21 20102010-07-21Photo 11738253May 21 20132013-05-21A photograph inside a golden-trimmed temple shrine. A priest in white dhoti and shawl, with bare upper body, stands at left holding a round brass plate or tray near the altar. Behind him, large deity murti figures stand in a gilded arched niche against a red curtain; one is painted in red and gold with a crown and trident-like staff, the other has a tall crown and teal skirt. Garlands of white and red flowers hang on the figures and a Shiva lingam with a bilva-style garland sits on a decorated yoni base. In front, a red-robed seated figure with a red turban and garlands sits on a red and gold cloth before offerings and brass oil lamps. Another red-robed figure in a green-curtained niche at right wears a red turban and garlands. Tall brass lamp stands flank the scene.2012-04-23A temple shrine with a golden arched frame and red backdrop holds a large deity murti of a seated god and goddess, both adorned with marigold garlands, jewelled necklaces and ornate crowns. A shirtless priest in a white dhoti with yellow borders stands at the left, holding a small brass vessel and performing ritual worship. Offerings of flowers, fruit, brass lamps, a kalasha-style pot and a plate of bananas and greens lie in front. A smaller standing figure in a green-curtained niche to the right holds hands in anjali. A pedestal with a decorated dais and garlands sits in the foreground, indicating abhishekam or puja.2013-12-18Photo 11737619
