A metal murti of a standing deity with a tall pointed crown, holding a spear-like vel and a shield-like object, is being bathed with milk. A hand in the upper right pours white milk from a silver vessel over the figure, which stands on a golden-toned platform. Milk splashes across the base. A red garment and gold-patterned ornamental panels frame the background. This is an abhishekam to a Murugan murti.2011-11-01November 01 20112011-11-01June 26 20122012-06-26ADIKAILASA on 8/21/20212021-08-21May 11 20122012-05-11Close photograph of an abhishekam being performed on a set of small bronze deity murtis and a dark stone shivalinga on a tray. The statue has a light-coloured body with bronze-toned arms, bangles and a wrapped lower garment, set in front of an ornate gold-coloured arch with a red-brick wall and white railings behind. Liquid streams down over the head and body. No living person's face is visible; the statue is the only figure shown.2017-07-31 +1 copiesAugust 05 20132013-08-05A priest in an orange-red garment pours white milk from a silver vessel over a small gilded deity murti standing on a pedestal, with the milk streaming down its body and orange cloth. Beside it, a larger white-coated murti in orange drapery is also coated with milk. The setting is an outdoor temple courtyard with stone walls. The priest wears gold bangles and a rudraksha-style bead bracelet, and a gold ornament hangs at his chest. This appears to be an abhishekam milk bath performed on the murtis.2011-10-07Jan 7 2022 sripuram2022-01-07
