A photograph taken outdoors in a garden with large shade trees and a paved path. In the left foreground a black stone deity murti with an orange-and-red headcloth and orange garment stands beside a pile of red offerings and a small brass lamp on a low stone stand. Two men in white dhoti-style clothing stand facing the murti; the nearer one wears a white dhoti with a maroon border and the other wears a dark cap, white garments and a gold-and-maroon shawl with a garland. A third person in white holds a camera to the left of the trees. On the far right an orange-robed monk stands at the edge of the frame. The setting suggests a padapuja or devotional offering at a shrine.
