Outdoor street arrival scene with a central figure in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, a rudraksha mala and gold-toned necklaces, hands pressed together in greeting and a broad smile. Around him, men in white dhotis and white shirts, several with orange-red neck cords, stand with palms joined in welcome. A white van and street traffic are behind, and a rangoli-style floral design in pastel colours lies on the ground. Foreground devotees hold white and red flower garlands. Lit by daylight with shop signs visible in the background.2003-11-16Photograph of a street-side arrival and welcome outside a shop front. A central man wearing an orange turban and orange garment, with a white and red flower garland around his neck, smiles while a man in a white shirt and dhoti stands in front of him with palms pressed together. On the left a woman in a cream salwar with folded hands and a man in a white shirt stand near a dark stone pillar and a red-and-green cloth hanging. Behind them a crowd of men in white and light shirts watches, and red signage for a store and a Karur Vysya Bank ATM sign are visible above. The central figure wears saffron clothing and a garland, consistent with a sannyasi-style presentation, but the appearance alone is not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2003-11-16July 04 20142014-07-04 +1 copiesA street scene in a busy Indian town where a figure in an orange turban and orange robe, wearing a large red and orange flower garland, faces a group of men in white shirts and dhotis. A man with a moustache and a rudraksha mala pauses close to him, and another man in a white shirt with a vertical white tilak on his forehead gestures with raised palms. A video camera operator stands behind them and a crowd fills the sidewalk. Shop signs and advertising billboards line the street, including one with a photo of a woman in a red dress.2007-01-12A street procession in a crowded Indian town. On the left, a man in orange robes and an orange turban stands on a raised red-carpeted platform with folded hands in namaskar, wearing a long green leaf garland with white and yellow flowers and a gold necklace. Behind him, a cameraman in a white kurta holds a video camera on his shoulder. The large crowd below is mostly men in white dhotis and white shirts with rudraksha malas, many with hands raised or palms pressed together. Orange flags, white and blue bunting, coconuts and banana stalks decorate the street, with shops and a temple gopuram in the background.2006-09-24A street scene outside a cream-coloured house with a banana plant and palm trees. In the centre, a figure wears a saffron-orange turban with a rudraksha bead cluster, a red and white flower garland, and saffron robes, smiling as people press palms together in greeting. Around them, a man in white with a shawl, an older woman in a white sari, and a man with a visible prayer gesture receive them; one holds a tray with flowers. A white van and a camera-holding man stand behind. Several bald-headed young men in saffron stand at the left edge. Appearance-based cues on the central figure (orange turban, rudraksha, flower garland, saffron robe) are consistent with a person presence, but the face and body are only partly clear, so identity is uncertain.2014-07-01July 01 20142014-07-01January 12 20072007-01-12January 12 20072007-01-12July 01 20142014-07-01January 12 20072007-01-12August 06 20092009-08-06
