April 07 20192019-04-07A white-clad elderly man with a shaved head bends forward to touch the hand of a seated figure on a large gilded throne. The seated figure wears a gold crown, a leopard-print blouse, a rust-orange dhoti and a long garland of red roses and yellow flowers, with a rudraksha-style necklace. Beside them a brass tray holds red and yellow flowers and a kalasha-like vessel. Behind, bare-chested young men in rust-orange cloths hold a flower tray and stand with palms pressed together, while a man in cream dhoti and shawl joins hands at the left. Gold-painted pillars and a deity murti frame the temple hall with a red carpet underfoot.2019-04-07A photograph of an elderly white-haired man in a white checked shirt bowing with palms pressed together toward a seated figure on a gilded throne. The seated figure wears an orange-red turban, a red saffron robe, a pink flower garland, layered gold necklaces, gold bangles and an armlet, with long dark hair. Behind them stands a man in white dhoti with a rudraksha mala and red wristbands, a gold kalasha and a gold staff stand nearby, and a red drape hangs in the background. Two men in the background, one with a camera, watch. Petals lie on a gold-edged cloth held by the seated figure.2016-07-08A photograph of a ceremony in a gold-hung shrine room. A smiling man with long dreadlocked hair, a dark red-brown cloth and a large multi-coloured garland of yellow, white, red and green flowers sits on a red cushioned seat. A priest in white dhoti with a gold border and orange shawl leans forward and offers him an item with both hands. Behind them stand other attendants, one wearing a rudraksha mala, and a large floral garland hangs on the wall with green leaves and a gold trident-shaped ornament at the left. The seated man has distinctive dreadlocked hair and garlands, but the appearance is not clear enough for a confident identification.2016-07-19A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with a red velvet cushion, wearing a maroon-red and gold-bordered dhoti and shawl, a rudraksha mala with a long double strand around the neck, gold earrings and a red bindi. He holds a white-and-black handled ritual whisk topped with yellow marigold flowers and gestures with his other hand. Beside him, a bare-chested young man in orange cloth with a beaded armband kneels, and a person in a white dhoti and shawl stands behind. Swamiji (probable) appears in the central seated figure, whose long swept-back hair and rudraksha mala and maroon-gold clothing fit the page's account; the kneeling attendant and standing person are devotees or attendants.2016-01-02August 25 20172017-08-25 +1 copiesA photo of a ritual in a temple-like hall with red curtains and a carved stone pillar. The devotee wears a bare upper body and a cream dhoti with gold border. Another man in a white dhoti and shawl with rudraksha mala stands behind, and a woman in a dark sari holds a red fruit or offering.
