A seated group of women and a few others sit on the floor of an ashram hall during a satsang or discourse. Several wear white or cream salwar and sari, one in a pale green top and grey trousers, another in a deep maroon sari with a bindi and glasses, and a woman in an orange sari sits at left. Brass lamps and small steel containers with fruit and offerings rest on a glossy floor in front of them, with a folded stack of striped mattresses and red curtains behind. The women sit quietly with hands folded in their laps, attentive to an unseen speaker.

Several people count among a crowd of roughly 60 visible people in the image.

Most wear orange saffron shawls over white or pale clothing, and several women wear white tops and lanyards. A man in the upper left wears a purple head covering and an orange shawl. A bare-walled terracotta building and red pillars form the background, and some devotees sit with eyes closed in meditation. No single person is clearly identifiable as a person, so no a person candidate is described.
