A woman in an orange shawl over a yellow sari, with a rudraksha mala around her neck and a wristwatch, stands reading from a white sheet of paper in a temple hall with orange walls. Behind her are several deity murtis: a dark-skinned standing figure with a crown and garland on the left, a figure with raised hands at the back, and two crowned figures with floral garlands on the right. A gold-covered platform, a brass oil lamp and flower offerings stand nearby, and a banner hangs on a pole. The setting suggests a satsang or discourse.2013-03-10A photograph of a temple shrine during a homa-style ritual. In the foreground, a priest in white dhoti and white shirt kneels at a fire pit lined with white stone, tending the flame and holding a small metal ladle. Beside him, a second man in a yellow shawl bends forward over the pit, seemingly inhaling smoke. Behind them stands a black deity murti in an orange-draped sari, flanked by smaller golden-haloed deity figures in red, green and gold garments adorned with yellow and white garlands. Brass vessels, a kalasha-style pot, small oil lamps and offering plates sit on a yellow low table. At upper right, a framed portrait of a saffron-robed figure with long hair and rudraksha beads is decorated with red and orange flower garlands, a printed portrait rather than a person in the scene.A young boy in an orange kurta with a rudraksha mala around his neck stands at a microphone-free lectern-like spot, reading from a printed sheet of paper in both hands. Behind him stands a black deity murti draped in a gold cloth, adorned with a red garland with orange and white flowers and a golden crown. To the right, a white seated figure in orange robes, with a gold crown, rudraksha malas and ceremonial jewelry, has hands joined in greeting on a black pedestal. A tall orange and yellow ceremonial flag stands behind the boy, with a small plant and brass lamps nearby.2013-03-10March 10 20132013-03-10A photograph inside a temple shrine showing a priest seated at lower left in white ritual clothes, with glasses, holding a small ritual implement and facing the altar. Before him are brass oil lamps and a brass bowl on a stone platform. At center sit three deity murtis: a central figure in pink and white garments with a tall crown and garlands, flanked by smaller figures, one in gold and brown with a white garland and another with green adornments and red flowers. Behind them stands a gilded arch framing a further shrine with red drapery. Two dark stone statues in orange-saffron dhotis stand at the left and right walls. The setting appears to be a puja or abhishekam in progress.2009-09-22Photograph inside a temple-style tent at a shrine with two large deity murtis decorated with multicolour flower garlands. Centre-right, a black-faced murti with gold crown and red garment sits under a golden arch, with a kalasha-like lamp stand and brass oil lamps in front on a yellow-draped table. At left, a standing deity murti wears a gold-and-yellow garment and a tall crown. Two people stand in front of the shrine looking up at the deities: on the left a bald man in a pale cream-white dhoti and shawl, and beside him a person with long dark hair in an orange-saffron robe. Hanging textiles in red, yellow and blue decorate the background.2006-08-28March 10 20132013-03-10Photograph of a temple abhishekam in progress inside a hall with red drapes and a black backdrop. A standing figure in long orange robes and loose hair pours or offers something over a black stone lingam on a raised tiled platform. Gold-framed arches frame a black stone murti of a standing deity to the left and gilded deity figures garlanded with flowers behind the platform. A man in orange on a stepladder stands at the left arch, and other people in orange, white dhotis and white clothing attend nearby, one kneeling with hands folded. Brass oil lamps stand on the platform edge, and a portrait in a wooden frame hangs above. Several attendants in white are present.2009-10-17Interior of a temple hall with white walls and gold-framed arched niches holding black stone deity murtis. A man in a white dhoti with a red-and-green border stands with his back to the camera, raising a lit lamp or kalasha-like vessel toward the shrines, apparently performing aarti. A woman in a red sari sits at the lower right near a black Nandi statue draped with a purple cloth. Shrines hold a blue-skinned multi-armed deity, a garlanded deity with orange cloth, and a garlanded deity in red and blue with a red curtain.2011-09-09Interior shrine with several deity murtis in gilded arched niches and on a tiled altar platform, with brass oil lamps standing in front.
