A man in orange saffron robes kneels at lower left, holding a long brass implement or lamp up toward the altar, with a white pedestal fan beside him. A row of lit oil lamps glows on a golden stand before a gilded throne-like seat (peetha) with a framed portrait of a woman in yellow robes seated on it. Brass lamps and candlesticks flank the altar, and a small statue of a deity couple sits at the upper left. Two women in orange sit in the foreground, and a laptop and microphone stand at the right edge. A large portrait photo of a smiling man with a long white beard, orange turban and orange garment stands on an ornate gold throne with red cushions. Four women are visible: one in orange-brown sari kneels at left holding a lit oil lamp, another in orange sits behind her, a woman in white sari kneels center-right with hands raised near a tray, and a figure in orange-gold sari at far right holds a lit lamp. A lit tiered lamp stand glows on the right, and a child in orange kneels at the lower edge holding a small lamp. Potted plants and a drum sit at left.2014-08-01A photo of a shaven-headed man in saffron-orange robes holding a tall multi-tiered silver aarti lamp with several lit oil lamps, flames rising at the top and along each tier. White tilak markings are on his forehead and arms, and a rudraksha mala hangs at his neck. Behind him, women in orange and red saris and salwar sit on a mat with small brass lamps and puja vessels, while a seated crowd of devotees fills a hall with red curtains and banners. The scene is an aarti ritual with oil lamps during a puja gathering.2012-10-24A photograph of a temple shrine during an aarti. In the foreground, a shaved-headed priest in orange robes with rudraksha malas and white tilak marks on his arms and face holds a tiered silver lamp with many lit flames. Behind him, two orange-robed devotees sit on the red floor. The shrine has painted pillars and two standing dvarapala figures with golden crowns and gold ornaments. At the centre is a framed portrait of a smiling man in an orange turban, set above a gold throne. Brass oil lamps stand along the sides. The portrait is a depiction, not a physical person, and the priest's appearance does not qualify him as the candidate, so his identity is left unsure.2014-04-10July 28 20142014-07-28
