The murti has a pale-pink body, green dhoti-like lower garment, gold armlets and bracelets, and raises one finger upward. A bell is visible in the man's other hand, and a silver shrine niche sits behind. Wooden doorway frames the left edge. Visible vertical copyright text on the left is excluded.2011-12-27A man in orange-saffron dhoti and shawl stands barefoot in a tiled room, holding a silver multi-wick aarti lamp with flames in his left hand and a small bell in his right. Around his neck hangs a gold-beaded necklace. He looks toward a tall painted standing deity murti with a raised arm and pointing finger, its body in pink and green with gold ornaments. Behind him is an ornate gold-toned shrine with a small seated figure and a curtained wall. A white tower fan stands at left and a carpet lies on the floor.2011-12-30A man in an orange-red dhoti and shawl stands barefoot in a temple room, holding a lit multi-flame oil lamp in one hand and a small brass handbell in the other. He wears a long gold-coloured rudraksha-style mala and a tilak on his forehead. Beside him a large standing murti, painted in pink and green with multiple arms and a raised finger, is positioned in a doorway. Behind them a gilded throne-like seat with lion carvings and a maroon curtain are visible, and the lamp flame lights the scene warmly.2011-12-30A photograph in a dimly lit room of a priest in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, bare-chested with a gold-beaded mala around his neck, holding a brass plate with a burning flame aarti lamp. He gazes toward a tall painted deity statue on the right, with a green and pink garment, gold bangles, a tall crown and one raised hand pointing upward. Behind him a silver-framed altar piece and a small brass bell are visible, with a dark rug on the floor and a standing fan at left. A wooden door frames the left edge. He wears a long necklace of gold beads with a pendant, bangles on his wrist, and looks upward toward the flame. Smoke rises from the lamp at the top left. This appears to be an evening aarti ritual. The man has short dark hair and no visible crown or long hair, so his identity cannot be confirmed from appearance; he is described by role as a priest performing aarti.2012-10-16Close photo of a ritual in progress: a priest in red and orange clothing with an orange-beaded mala across his chest and white markings on his arms holds a brass bell and a flaming camphor or oil lamp, its fire rising above a small brass vessel. Behind the flame is a deity murti decorated with white flower garlands, gold jewellery and a red flower; gold-bordered cloth lies at the base. Only a partial view of a seated person's head appears at the lower right.2014-09-14November 11 20102010-11-11A man in an orange sleeveless wrap performs aarti with a lit brass lamp held in his right hand and a small brass bell in his left, in front of a red cloth backdrop. He has swept-back dark hair and gold-toned bangles on his wrist. Tall brass lamp stands with bird-shaped finials flank him, and a white stone deity figure with an raised hand is at the lower right. Another person in orange stands partly visible at the left edge with a tray of flowers. The setting appears to be a temple sanctum at dusk. The man's distinctive long hair, saffron robes and ceremonial gold ornaments match the a person cues, and he is performing the aarti ritual.2010-01-02 +1 copiesMarch 26 20132013-03-26
