A man in an orange sleeveless wrap performs aarti with a lit brass lamp held in his right hand and a small brass bell in his left, in front of a red cloth backdrop. He has swept-back dark hair and gold-toned bangles on his wrist. Tall brass lamp stands with bird-shaped finials flank him, and a white stone deity figure with an raised hand is at the lower right. Another person in orange stands partly visible at the left edge with a tray of flowers. The setting appears to be a temple sanctum at dusk. The man's distinctive long hair, saffron robes and ceremonial gold ornaments match the a person cues, and he is performing the aarti ritual.2010-01-02 +1 copiesA man in an orange saffron garment stands in profile, holding a brass aarti lamp with a bright flame aloft in his right hand while his left hand supports a second brass bell-shaped vessel. His hair is grey-streaked and pulled back, and his arm shows yellow turmeric or sandal marks. Behind him hangs a deep orange drape, and in the blurred foreground stand ornate brass lamp stands.
