A large deity murti seated on a throne with a crown, garlanded with white and yellow flowers, stands at centre-left, while a figure in white robes sits before it. In the foreground, several young men in saffron-orange dhotis and bare upper bodies sit around a stone homa pit with a brass vessel and sprinkle or tend offerings. One youth in red-and-orange cloth with white ash markings on the arm sits at lower left. A woman in pink and a woman in white with an orange forehead mark stand behind them, and a banana plant and a dark deity murti stand in the background.2016-12-02Outdoor temple construction site with reddish-brown excavated earth. In the foreground a devotee in saffron-orange robes digs with a long-handled spade, bending over a trench. Beside him a person in white ritual clothes bends to work at the base of a concrete pillar with exposed steel rebar. Around them many devotees in saffron and white clothing carry earth, stand on the dirt and work along the site. A water tank on a metal stand and green trees appear in the background, and a white hose lies on the ground.2006-12-09March 22 20082008-03-22Outdoor ritual at a large banyan tree at dusk. A priest in white dhoti and shawl stands with palms joined in prayer beside a shrine. Another man in orange robes raises a lit lamp toward a black stone deity murti decorated with orange cloth and garlands, with a bell or small instrument in his other hand. A black-and-white snake sculpture lies at the base of the shrine. On the left, a row of about ten to twelve devotees in white, red and green saris and white shirts stand with hands folded, including children. The setting is a paved circular platform in sandy ground with aerial roots hanging from the banyan.2008-01-20 +1 copiesOutdoor temple ritual at an open-sided pavilion with a red-and-white striped stepped platform. A long-haired figure in orange robes and an orange shawl sits on a white throne-like chair with white cushions, receiving a devotee. A young man in white with an orange shawl and rudraksha mala stands behind him holding a plate. Devotees in white and orange shawls gather around, including a woman in a multicoloured sari. On a white cloth in front are rudraksha malas, small booklets, framed pictures and sweets. The figure in orange has long hair and wears orange clothing with rudraksha beads, though the appearance is not clear enough to confirm identity, so the seated figure is described by role only.2008-03-28
