Night scene of a crowd standing on a dark paved road during an outdoor procession gathering. Many men wear white shirts and white dhotis or trousers, while women wear white salwar kameez, a blue churidar and a blue dress with a yellow-patterned shawl. One man in the centre wears a green checked shirt and a blue lungi, and another carries a black bag. Several people stand with hands folded in devotion. No deity, chariot or a person candidate is clearly visible in the frame. Bare trees and dim lights appear in the background.

Night procession on a dirt road beneath dense tree canopy, with lamps glowing in the background. In the foreground a man in a white dhoti and an orange cloth stands on the left, and a man in a white shirt and grey trousers stands centre-left beside another in a light shirt. On the right, a man in a white dhoti with an orange shawl across his shoulders holds a lamp aloft and walks at the front of the procession, while more people in white and a few in colours follow along the road. A distant illuminated portrait appears at the far right edge.

Night photograph of a street procession in Chennai, with a crowd of devotees walking and standing along a dark road lit by street lamps and vehicle headlights. In the foreground a woman in a green-and-white saree presses her palms together in prayer, and a man in a white shirt with a rudraksha-style mala stands beside her. Nearby a woman in a white saree and dark mala holds her hands together, and a man in a white shirt and black mala looks ahead. Behind them more devotees in sarees and white clothes stand along the roadside near parked cars. A small ceremonial object with flowers sits at the left edge, consistent with a procession of deities.

Night photograph of a crowd of devotees gathered at a street procession, most of them women in sarees and a few men in white shirts and dhotis. Foreground women wear a blue saree, a cream saree with gold border, a red saree, a white saree with blue border and an orange-and-cream saree; a toddler in an orange top is held by a woman. Many wear gold necklaces and bangles, and some hold white flowers. At right, a gold-coloured ratha or palanquin panel with wooden framing is visible. Vans and parked cars line the dark street behind the crowd, and a white van with a lit windshield stands among them.

Night street scene of a crowd gathered in a roadway, many standing in lines. In the foreground, a bald man with white forehead markings wears white kurta and a rudraksha-style mala beside a man in white shirt, and a woman in a white sari with a red bindi stands near a woman in a red sari. Other devotees in white and saffron-toned clothing stand behind, some holding objects. Above the crowd, a lit portrait shows a figure in white head covering on a vehicle or display. Banana or palm leaves and an arch frame the background.

Night photograph of a large crowd standing in an open dirt ground under a dark sky with a silhouetted tree line behind them. Many people wear white ritual clothing: men in white dhotis and shirts, some in light blue shirts, and women in white saris, plus a few in pink, blue, orange and green saris. Several women wear orange shawls. Most stand with hands folded or arms crossed, facing toward the left edge of the frame where a light glows. Floodlight poles stand in the background. The gathering is large and fills the width of the frame.

A night-time photograph of a long line of men and women standing on a paved road in front of trees and a building, appearing to wait in a procession queue. Several men wear white dhotis and white shirts, one wears a checked shirt and dark trousers, and one older bare-chested man wears a red-orange dhoti and a white cloth. A man near the centre holds a brass plate or tray with offerings. A woman at the right edge wears a pink sari with gold-toned embroidery and folds her arms. Strings of decorative leaves hang over the path, and a small lamp glows at the left edge.

A night-time photograph of a group of about a dozen people walking across a dirt courtyard beneath a tree with pale flowers. A woman in orange salwar kameez carries a white tote bag, another in orange walks nearby, and men in white kurta-style clothes and pale trousers walk with them. Some carry bags and a small yellow object. Behind them stands a low orange-brick building with a lit doorway under a light fixture, and a tree branch frames the top of the frame.

Night-time outdoor photo of a crowd walking along a pale paved path between dark trees, lit by distant street lamps. Many men in white dhotis and shirts stand and walk on both sides, with women in saris at right. At the centre, a figure in a saffron-orange robe with a matching orange head covering walks with hands pressed together in greeting, flanked by men in white. Appearance is too uncertain to confirm who the saffron-robed figure is, and the page's claim cannot be verified from the image alone.

A night photograph of a dense crowd of men in white shirts and white dhotis standing beneath a large leafy tree, lit by a street lamp at upper right. Several faces are lit by the flash in the foreground, including a woman with a dark plait and a gold chain in the lower right. Most people are in white clothing, with one man in a dark checked shirt at right. The page describes this as a convention gathering in Avadi, Chennai, but no individual in the frame can be confidently identified, and the background is dark, so the scene reads as an outdoor evening assembly.
