January 03 20162016-01-03A ceremonial puja scene in a temple-like hall with dark stone walls and hanging flower garlands. On the right, a seated figure in a rust-brown and orange robe wears a saffron turban, layered gold chains and a multi-strand red and white flower garland, raising one hand in blessing. Surrounding him are brass bells, a brass lamp and a large gold-toned vessel, with a plate of flower offerings at his feet. Devotees kneel and stand in front: a woman in a red sari with palms pressed together, a woman in a white sari and blue blouse, several women in white saris holding silver thali plates of offerings, a man in white with a rudraksha mala, and a shaved-headed child in orange. A man in a purple kurta stands behind, and a few partially visible people stand at the back. This appears to be a puja with padapuja-style offerings.2013-07-22January 03 20162016-01-03January 03 20162016-01-03Evening photograph of a festival darshan under a white and red tent with gold-painted decorations. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a red-and-gold cloth and heavy pink and multicoloured flower garlands, sits on a red cushioned seat beside a gilded lion-headed throne armrest and holds a fruit toward a devotee. Around him, devotees in white dhotis and saffron or orange shawls, some with rudraksha malas and tilak, kneel, fold hands and offer fruit and flowers on a tray. A bald man in a white shirt and saffron wrap stands with a gold kalasha-style vessel. Gold-painted figures and a camera on a tripod are visible at the edges.2016-01-03January 03 20162016-01-03January 03 20162016-01-03A photograph of a ceremonial seated scene under a white tent with red drapes. A man with long dark swept-back hair, wearing a saffron-orange garment and a large multi-strand red, green and yellow flower garland, sits on an ornate gold-and-red throne shaped with a lion-like carved armrest. He holds his hands open toward a brass bowl of floral offerings. Devotees in white and cream clothing, some with rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, kneel and sit close by, one woman in a gold-bordered sari raising her hands in a gesture of offering. A tray of apples sits in the foreground beside a gold lion-form ornament. Behind them, many more people in white stand along the tent. The seated man matches the page's Swamiji reference through his long hair, saffron clothing and garland, so he is a probable Swamiji (probable) in person.2016-01-03December 22 20102010-12-22August 09 20172017-08-09 +2 copiesJuly 31 20152015-07-31July 06 20152015-07-06
