April AF 2012April AF 2012April AF 2012January 28 20132013-01-28A photograph of a ceremonial hall at an ashram satsang. A man seated on an ornate gold throne with red cushions wears saffron-yellow robes, a red and orange flower garland and a rudraksha-style necklace, with a red tilak on his forehead. A large painted deity murti with four arms and a gold crown stands to the left against a colourful painted backdrop. In the foreground a woman in an orange sari with folded hands sits before a microphone stand, another woman in green sits beside her, and a monk in orange robes is seen from behind at right. Hanging brass lamps and gold-tasselled decorations surround the throne. The seated man has long swept-back hair, gold ornaments, saffron clothing and a crown-like adornment absent here, so the identification is uncertain.2012-02-10A photograph of a ceremonial scene in a temple-style hall with painted turquoise and pink pillars and a red velvet curtain at each side. A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe with long hair and a white-and-orange garland sits on a golden throne with a zebra-striped cushion, flanked by a golden ornate backrest. In front, a devotee in orange robes and a kneeling woman in red saris perform an aarti with a lit oil lamp, with brass lamps standing on either side of the dais. The setting suggests a puja or darshan, with a person candidate on the throne whose saffron clothing, long hair and garland are visible cues.2013-03-03 +1 copiesJune 09 20132013-06-09Photograph of a padapuja-style ceremony on an orange-carpeted stage. A man in white dhoti and white shawl with a beaded necklace sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion and golden canopy, in front of a large printed backdrop of a stone temple gateway. Several people in white and cream saris and orange-and-white garments sit on the floor before the throne, some holding plates or offerings. On the left, a man in orange robes with gold-trimmed shawl sits behind a microphone reading from papers. Gold oil lamps stand on either side of the throne, and dark blue curtains frame the stage.2011-01-28June 09 20132013-06-09May 16 20132013-05-16August 02 20172017-08-02August 02 20172017-08-02
