April AF 2012April AF 2012April AF 2012May 16 20132013-05-16A photograph of a ceremonial scene in a temple-style hall with painted turquoise and pink pillars and a red velvet curtain at each side. A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe with long hair and a white-and-orange garland sits on a golden throne with a zebra-striped cushion, flanked by a golden ornate backrest. In front, a devotee in orange robes and a kneeling woman in red saris perform an aarti with a lit oil lamp, with brass lamps standing on either side of the dais. The setting suggests a puja or darshan, with a person candidate on the throne whose saffron clothing, long hair and garland are visible cues.2013-03-03 +1 copiesJanuary 28 20132013-01-28Inside a temple shrine, a seated figure sits on an ornate gilded throne at the centre, dressed in dark robes with a large beaded necklace, in front of a black draped backdrop hung with bells and lamps. Two tall painted dvarapala-style guardian statues flank the entrance, each with four arms, crowns, gold necklaces and orange-red and green garments. In the foreground, two men in white dhotis with bare upper bodies kneel with folded hands, one with vibhuti marks on his forehead, while others in orange and maroon robes attend nearby. The floor is polished and reflective, with brass vessels visible at the front.2014-10-02July 29 20172017-07-29June 09 20132013-06-09A photograph of a satsang inside a temple-style hall. Three seated musicians or chanters in white dhotis and saffron cloth sit at microphones on the left, and two women in orange saris sit near the throne. Brass oil lamps stand on both sides and the floor is polished white. The scene is a talk or chanting session.2013-06-09A photograph of a ceremonial hall at an ashram satsang. A man seated on an ornate gold throne with red cushions wears saffron-yellow robes, a red and orange flower garland and a rudraksha-style necklace, with a red tilak on his forehead. A large painted deity murti with four arms and a gold crown stands to the left against a colourful painted backdrop. In the foreground a woman in an orange sari with folded hands sits before a microphone stand, another woman in green sits beside her, and a monk in orange robes is seen from behind at right. Hanging brass lamps and gold-tasselled decorations surround the throne. The seated man has long swept-back hair, gold ornaments, saffron clothing and a crown-like adornment absent here, so the identification is uncertain.2012-02-10May 09 20132013-05-09 +1 copies
