December 18 20102010-12-18A photograph of a group of devotees seated indoors holding small brass oil lamps with lit flames during a ritual. The woman at center wears a yellow shawl over a white sari with a red and gold border, a white tilak line on her forehead, and holds a brass lamp toward the viewer. Beside her, a woman in a cream sari with a red border holds another lamp and wears a rudraksha-style mala. Another woman at right in cream and red shawl holds a lamp, and a woman at left wears a red shawl. Behind them, younger girls in maroon and gold clothing hold lit candles or lamps, and a pink flower is visible at the lower center. Several people are visible, all with white forehead markings.2013-01-14A row of women seated on the floor in a temple hall, holding small brass oil lamps (diyas) and lit incense or flame in their raised hands, with smoke drifting through the warm, sunlit air. Several wear white or cream salwar kameez, one in a teal blue dupatta and another in an orange-red top with a rudraksha-style mala necklace. Brass puja plates, a kalasha-style vessel, flower offerings and a water bottle lie on a red cloth in front, and one woman in the foreground has her palms pressed together in prayer. The scene suggests a puja or aarti in progress, with other participants partly visible behind.2012-08-22 +1 copiesDecember 18 20102010-12-18December 26 20102010-12-26September 29 20132013-09-29December 22 20102010-12-22December 16 20132013-12-16December 04 20102010-12-04A seated group of women in white and cream ritual dress, many with yellow shawls and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces, hold small oil lamps with lit flames while sitting on the floor. Brass and clay lamps and small offering plates rest on cloths before them. Behind them, more seated participants in white and some in orange wraps fill the hall, with a draped white backdrop and a green-covered table at the left. The scene resembles a group lamp-lighting ritual during a satsang or ceremony.2010-12-02November 05 20062006-11-05Indoor devotional gathering of seated women and men in white and cream clothes, several holding small oil lamps or flames, with hands in anjali. A woman in a beige top with a pendant necklace holds a lit lamp near her face; a younger woman in white holds a bell. Some wear tilak and orange or yellow garments. A red curtain, striped cushioned bench and a black stroller sit in the background; a bearded man in white with a red shawl sits with hands joined. No identifiable a person appearance is visible, so this is a general ashram puja scene with devotees.2011-11-26
