A bare ankle with a red line of paint or dye is visible, and a white cloth is being wrapped or tied around the leg. Hands wear wristwatches, bangles and rings; the clothing is white with an orange and yellow edge visible at the lower left. Dry grass lies on the ground beneath them. The scene appears to be a ritual or devotional service, with hands attending to the feet of a seated or reclining person whose face is not visible.2007-01-12Close-up photo of a padapuja-style foot ritual on a stone floor. A man in a white dhoti with a gold border kneels and pours water from a brass vessel over a bare foot, with a wristwatch visible on his wrist. Another person in white dhoti stands at left with bare, wet feet. Scattered white and pink flower petals, a red flower and green leaves lie on the wet floor. Gold-toned ceremonial fabric and a red cushion sit behind. The seated man's face is cropped out; the mood is one of devotional foot service. Attribution of the seated man is not established from appearance, so the role is given as a seated devotee receiving padapuja-style foot care.2010-11-14November 14 20102010-11-14Close photograph of a seated man in white ceremonial clothing receiving foot care. He wears a gold bead necklace and a small red tilak on his forehead.
