October 19 20062006-10-19A wide paved road in a Tamil Nadu town runs toward a white triumphal-style gateway with a dome and columns, carrying Tamil script on its top panel. Two smaller white pillared gateways stand on either side of the road. A cyclist in white clothes rides on the left, with a yellow bus and a small crowd of distant figures near the arch. Palm and leafy trees, a gravel pile, and a green roadside sign are visible, under a pale hazy sky.2009-08-08A photograph of an outdoor shrine set in a leafy garden. A small arched stone structure stands at centre, with a black pedestal bearing a garland of orange and red flowers draped across it. Below, a circular bed of red and orange flowers surrounds the base, with a stone path curving around it. Tree branches with green leaves frame the upper and foreground, and a paved path and grassy area sit beyond. No people are visible.2010-11-28A photograph taken through a vehicle window of a roadside junction with a dark bronze statue of a standing man on a tall red-brown pedestal. The statue wears a long garment and holds a staff. Plaques with figures are set into the pedestal. Nearby stand a metal traffic signal post, lamp posts and a small sign, with an auto-rickshaw, a green tanker and a truck on the road. Two people sit on a motorcycle and another person walks by. Palm trees and a pink building are in the background under a pale sky. No ritual or deity is visible.2012-05-09August 19 20112011-08-19 +4 copiesFebruary 10 20092009-02-102011 - Photo Album2011 - Photo Album2010 - Photo Album +1 copiesOctober 19 20062006-10-19October 19 20062006-10-19A photograph of an outdoor temple procession on a roadside.
