A photograph of a festive vegetarian meal spread on a long low table with a patterned cloth. Rows of small bowls and plates hold curries, rice, vegetables, sweets and fruit, with a tray of round pale dishes and bowls of fruit at the front. Behind the food, three painted metal murti statues stand on a shelf against a plain white wall: a multi-armed deity in green and orange, a blue-faced deity in a crown, and a figure in red and white robes. Small brass lamps and dishes sit at the right edge. No people are visible.2021-12-28Photograph of a large food offering laid out on the floor before a seated silver-finished murti of a sage-like deity, dressed in an orange silk cloth, blue and green garments, and garlanded with pink and white flower malas, with a red-saried female figure standing to the left. Trays and rows of small bowls hold rice dishes, curries, vegetables, sweets, fruit, corn cobs, and bread on foil, with bananas, oranges, apples and grapes on a silver tray in front. A brass lamp and small offering vessels sit on the pink mat near the murti. No people are visible, only statues and food, consistent with a festival annadan-style offering display.2021-12-28Annadhan in 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesKAILASA MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA on 1/3/20222022-01-03KAILASA MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA on 3/11/20212021-03-11 +1 copiesA photograph of a home puja at a shrine setup. The murti is draped in a long garland of white and multicoloured flowers, with a red, green and gold cloth behind it and a gilded arched frame above. In front of the priest is a spread of offerings: bowls of fruit including oranges and apples, sweets, flower petals, a kalasha-style brass vessel, and red and gold cloths. Behind them, two people in white clothes sit near a window with white curtains, and a small flower vase stands on the right. The scene reads as a puja or abhishekam offering setup.2008-05-03A photograph of a large spread of vegetarian food laid out on a patterned carpet for a celebration.
