Mahashivaratri 2021KAILASA LOS ANGELES, USA on 2/7/20222022-02-07Home altar set up for Diwali naivedyam, with a large cutout standing portrait of a smiling figure in an orange-red turban and orange robe, palms pressed together, wearing a long rudraksha-style mala with pink and white flower garlands. The portrait is labelled in the scene only by its printed image, with no readable caption visible. Beside it, a framed photo shows a figure in orange robes, and a small deity murti group stands on a white-draped table with brass lamps, a kalasha-like vessel and white roses. In front, a black Shiva lingam with a tilak stands on a red cloth decorated with white flowers, with a printed portrait of a face with a third-eye mark placed beside it. Plates of food, sweets and a cup of tea sit on a white cloth at right, alongside an orange cushion and a vase of white roses. No physical people are present.2020-11-14Jun 19 2022 sripuram2022-06-19A home shrine table set with fruit, sweets and drinks for an offering. Three women in orange and pink saris stand before it; one in orange with hands joined in namaskar, another bending forward offering a gold thali with lamps, bananas, mango, rice, coconut, and small steel bowls of food, with a lit oil lamp and marigold garlands on the cloth. The scene suggests a devotional offering arranged for the figure, with no clear identification of the printed figure beyond its appearance.2022-06-19A small home shrine arranged against a cream wall.
