March 10 20142014-03-10A photograph on a pebbled riverbank. Facing her is an older man in an orange sweater, orange trousers, a knitted orange cap, glasses, a rudraksha mala and a gold bracelet, smiling as the cloth is presented. Behind them, several other people in maroon and orange robes stand on the stones, with bare trees and distant hills under an overcast sky.2014-03-10March 10 20142014-03-10A photograph of a procession-like gathering at a crowded outdoor event with red and white banners behind. In the centre, a smiling person wears a rust-coloured turban, a rust-coloured robe and long braided hair, with a dark beaded mala, and stands with hands clasped. Beside him an elderly bearded man in orange robes and an orange headwrap holds a dark beaded mala, and a bald man in rust and gold clothing stands to the right. A man in a white dhoti and gold-bordered cloth holds a tall red-and-silver staff with a decorated canopy above. Several other men in saffron and rust garments and a red-and-orange headwrap stand around, with a crowd behind them. The centre figure has distinctive long hair and rust clothing consistent with a person presentation, though the appearance is not fully certain.2016-05-05Outdoor photo at a riverside gathering under a multicoloured canopy with tasselled fringe. A crowd of saffron-robed sannyasis and devotees surrounds a central older bald man with a white-striped forehead, wearing an orange shawl and a dark rudraksha mala, who stands among them; he has no crown or turban and no distinctive a person cues beyond the shared saffron attire. A man in front wears an orange dhoti, bare-chested with rudraksha malas, holding a flower garland and a small object. Other devotees in saffron and white robes, some with shaved heads and tripundra markings, stand close together. Background shows people along a sandy bank, water, trees and a scaffold structure under a clear sky.2010-01-30January 23 20142014-01-23March 10 20142014-03-10March 10 20142014-03-10February 15 20132013-02-15April 22 20162016-04-22Inside an orange-and-white tent, several saffron-robed sadhus gather on cushions and mats at the Kumbh Mela. On the left, a man in a red turban and rudraksha mala sits with palms pressed together in greeting, smiling. Beside him, a figure in an orange head covering and orange clothes sits with hands folded. An older bearded sadhu in orange wears dark glasses and sits behind them. Standing at right, a bald man in long orange robes and a blue collar bead necklace presses his palms together, while another bare-shouldered sadhu with long braided hair and saffron cloth faces him. Orange tent drapes and white poles surround the group.2016-04-22January 06 20142014-01-06
