October 02 20132013-10-02Close photo of seated ritual participants during a puja with brass oil lamps lit on a low table. In the foreground a person in an orange-red garment and rudraksha bracelets holds a small brass lamp with a flame. Behind, a figure in white dhoti with yellow border sits beside others in cream and beige cloth. Brass plates hold yellow and orange flowers, rice, bowls and small brass vessels, and a brass kalasha-like vessel stands among them. Several other lamps burn across the table.2017-01-06 +1 copiesJanuary 06 20172017-01-06September 27 20132013-09-27A photo of a ritual row where women in orange and white saris sit behind brass oil lamps (deepams) wrapped in white and yellow flower garlands with red accents. Lit wicks flicker on several lamps, and a leaf or small bowl is held in a woman's hands at right. A striped cloth covers the ground in the foreground. Several women are partly visible, so the count is approximate, and no swami is clearly visible in this frame.2016-08-12A close overhead view of a puja being performed on a white tiled floor with colourful striped woven mats. Several brass plates hold red and pink flower petals, small brass bowls, a copper water bottle, a small brass lamp and oil lamps with lit wicks. Three people sit cross-legged and lean in: one bare-armed man with a beaded bracelet picks up an offering from a plate, another in a white dhoti with gold border kneels nearby, and a third in a white-sleeved outfit with a rudraksha mala is partly visible at the right. Lit diyas glow along the floor, and a white conch-shaped item sits on a small plate.2017-01-22December 15 20132013-12-15January 06 20172017-01-06 +1 copiesJanuary 15 20172017-01-15January 06 20172017-01-06 +1 copiesJanuary 06 20172017-01-06Close-up photo of a puja setup on a woven mat with blue and red borders. Hands in the foreground, one wearing a bangle and a ring, reach toward brass plates holding yellow marigold flowers, small reddish-brown sweets or offerings, and a brass cup. Lit oil lamps and incense sticks stand among the plates, and a white conch shell sits at the left edge beside brass bells and a small lamp. A saffron-orange cloth lies folded on one plate. Only forearms and hands are visible, and a person in white clothing sits partly at the top left.2009-11-07
