A person in white clothing with a gold trim, wearing a red sacred thread and silver bangles, pours water from a golden spouted vessel over a lingam, with the stream visible. The background shows more lingams and red cloth. No face of a person is visible, so no a person identification is made.2016-10-31April 03 20082008-04-03 +1 copiesDecember 18 20162016-12-18Close view of a row of dark grey stone Shiva lingams with carved bands, set in a line on a stepped platform. A bare arm with rudraksha and beaded bracelets reaches in from the upper right to place a small pink and white flower offering on one lingam. Behind them, out of focus, bare-chested men in white dhotis with gold borders sit on red steps, performing a lingam abhishekam ritual.2017-08-07January 30 20172017-01-30December 18 20162016-12-18December 05 20162016-12-05Black stone Shivalingams on round gold-edged peethas are being bathed with water poured from a golden vessel held by a priest at the top left. Water droplets spray off the central lingam, and small oil lamps and yellow and red flower petals rest around the bases. Behind, seated figures in white dhotis and bare-shouldered ritual attire perform the abhishekam. A red cloth edges the right side. Setting appears to be a temple sanctum during an early-morning ritual.2016-12-12
