January 03 20162016-01-03Close view of a row of dark grey stone Shiva lingams with carved bands, set in a line on a stepped platform. A bare arm with rudraksha and beaded bracelets reaches in from the upper right to place a small pink and white flower offering on one lingam. Behind them, out of focus, bare-chested men in white dhotis with gold borders sit on red steps, performing a lingam abhishekam ritual.2017-08-07Photograph of a row of black stone Shivalingas set on a long stone ledge, each with yellow flower petals placed on top and dark ash or paste smeared on their bases. Hands of devotees reach in from the upper right, one touching a lingam, while brass vessels and brass pouring spouts stand along the ledge. Ritual abhishekam-style offerings with flowers in progress.2016-12-03February 20 20172017-02-20A row of black stone shivalingams stands along a pale stone walkway, each topped with yellow flower petals and dark smeared paste, with thin smoke rising from one. Behind them, the bare feet and white dhoti or trouser legs of seated participants are visible, along with a few pink-clad legs and brass vessels placed beside the lingams. The scene suggests an abhishekam-style ritual in progress, with the lingams as the central focus.2016-12-03July 31 20172017-07-31 +1 copiesDecember 03 20162016-12-03December 03 20162016-12-03December 03 20162016-12-03July 24 20172017-07-24Outdoor photo of a row of black stone Shiva lingams on a red-brick platform, each with a gold-coloured base tray. Pink and white flower petals are scattered over the lingams. Golden kalasha vessels are tilted above them, pouring water down over the stones in an abhishekam. Several people in plain white clothes kneel along the row; only forearms, bare feet and white-clad legs are visible, so the people are partly cropped. Bags and white cloth sit on the left.2016-12-02August 14 20172017-08-14
