Many people in plain white clothes stand and walk among the trunks and stone platforms on reddish-brown earth. In the foreground, an older woman with grey hair in a white sari with a light blue border presses her palms together in anjali. To the right, a woman in a white sari with pink trim sits on a low stone bench. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti kneels and bends forward, reaching down toward the leaves with his right hand, with a dark rudraksha-style mala visible around his neck. Beside him, a second man in a white shirt and white trousers stands with an ID badge on a lanyard, looking down at the ground. Bare feet and sandals are visible, and the setting appears to be a rural grove of bare-branched trees.2007-02-16March 06 20072007-03-06February 23 20082008-02-23Outdoor photograph beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and a red-brick edged circular platform at right. Several people walk and work along a sandy path with a white line of powder or chalk marking the layout. A woman in a teal skirt and pink top bends forward at left, guiding a rope or line on the ground, while a man in a teal shirt and green lungi carries a metal pot, and others in white dhotis, red sarees and checked shirts follow. Numerous hanging roots and a red boundary wall appear in the background, consistent with a temple construction site.2018-02-01A standing figure in saffron-orange robes with a yellow sash and a yellow-and-orange garland faces away from the camera, hands joined in prayer namaskar, on a dark stone platform with red-and-white floor mats. Long dark hair falls down the back. Before them are two dark stone slabs and a low stone seat, with a large old banyan tree with thick aerial roots and a circular stone platform behind.2013-05-17A photograph of a single person in a white and gold-bordered garment bowing forward with their face pressed against the trunk of a large banyan tree. A garland of red and white flowers hangs around their neck, and a marigold garland is strung across the trunk. The tree stands on a raised white-washed platform scattered with red and orange flower petals, with a granite bench and small shrines visible in the open courtyard behind. Dappled shade falls across the sandy ground.2010-01-02 +1 copiesSeptember 11 20162016-09-11
