Two men in foreground bend forward pouring reddish-brown soil from yellow plastic pots onto bare earth; the man on the left wears a white shirt and white dhoti-style trousers, the man on the right wears a white shirt and dark jeans. Behind them several people in white clothing and one woman in a white sari with a gold border stand or stoop among the dirt; one man wears a dark t-shirt, another a grey shirt. Leafy green branches frame the upper right.2016-09-11Outdoor scene beneath a large banyan tree with sprawling aerial roots and dappled shade on dry red-brown earth. Several people in white ritual clothing work around the tree: a man in white dhoti and shirt stands at centre, a bent figure in white cloth gathers items near a stone-edged base, and a woman in a yellow and red sari stands at right. A woman in a white sari carries a woven basket of leaves or offerings on her head. Stone slabs ring the root trunk. The page excerpt mentions Shivaratri, but no ritual name is visible in the image itself.2007-02-16A woman in a white sari with a thin yellow border bends forward over dry leaves scattered on bare red earth beneath a tree, lighting or tending a small smoke wisp at ground level. Another woman in a cream sari with orange and yellow floral print and an orange blouse stands beside her, watching. Bare branches and dry leaves surround them in a rural outdoor setting.2007-02-16September 11 20162016-09-112008 - Glimpses Of GurukulSeptember 11 20162016-09-11December 02 20092009-12-02September 17 20142014-09-17A photograph of a dry, wooded area with a large spreading tree whose trunk and branches arch across the frame, the ground covered in fallen dry leaves. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti kneels and bends forward, reaching down toward the leaves with his right hand, with a dark rudraksha-style mala visible around his neck. Beside him, a second man in a white shirt and white trousers stands with an ID badge on a lanyard, looking down at the ground. Bare feet and sandals are visible, and the setting appears to be a rural grove of bare-branched trees.2007-02-16July 07 20092009-07-07 +1 copies
