January 09 20152015-01-09A temple ritual scene in which a man in a rust-orange dhoti-style garment and a yellow-and-multicolour marigold garland stands at left, adorning or offering to a richly decorated deity murti. The murti is draped in gold and silver jewellery, layered necklaces, a crown and a flower-covered ornamental setting of red roses, yellow marigolds and white blossoms. A second, smaller figure with a bright pearl-and-gem crown and red garments sits at right, and another decorated figure stands behind. A brass oil lamp is visible at far left. The man has a vibhuti or tilak mark on his forehead and is holding a ritual item with both hands.2015-01-09December 23 20162016-12-23December 19 20162016-12-19May 07 20172017-05-07A photograph of a temple shrine decorated with dense garlands of yellow, orange, red and white flowers forming an arch. Golden metal deity murtis stand behind a central figure: one with a crown and ornate jewellery, another with a fanned headdress, and a figure on the left in a maroon dress with pearl-like embellishments. In front, a bearded man in a maroon-brown robe and matching turban smiles and raises one hand in greeting, wearing a gold necklace, a rudraksha mala with a pendant and a floral garland with pink and white blooms. Flower garlands drape the shrine base and brass lamps sit at the front. The scene looks like a Hindu temple festival or darshan.2016-12-14April 23 20132013-04-23 +2 copiesA photograph of a shrine with three decorated deity murtis garlanded with white and pink flowers, set on a yellow cloth.
