December 01 20112011-12-01A photograph of a seated man in cream-coloured kurta with a rudraksha-style dark bead mala and a lanyard, wearing glasses, holding a small silver cup with both hands in front of him. In front of him are silver puja trays with flower petals in pink and white, a red apple, and a silver vessel. Partially visible people in the foreground, including a bare foot, appear to be taking part in the ritual. No identifiable a person depiction is established from appearance, so the figure is described only by role as a devotee at a puja offering.2011-12-01November 20 20112011-11-20March 19 20142014-03-19Photograph of a man in glasses and a light teal patterned kurta holding a small silver oil lamp with a lit wick in his right hand, seated at a gold ritual tray. On the tray are silver bowls, a red apple, strawberries and white flowers. A second silver lamp burns at the left edge. At right, a woman in a pink garment with gold border is seen from behind, and a red-cushioned gold seat stands in the background. The setting suggests a puja or aarti. No a person candidate is visible, only a devotee holding a lamp.2011-11-27A seated man in a white kurta with a dark rudraksha mala and a small red tilak on his forehead holds a silver oil lamp with a lit flame in both hands during a pada puja. Before him, bare feet rest on a golden stool with a red cushion, and silver plates hold red and orange flowers, fruit and offerings. The setting is a temple-style hall with a formal ceremonial atmosphere.2011-11-20Photo of a devotional puja at a seated gathering. A woman with long silver-grey hair and a red bindi, wearing a white garment, holds her palms together in prayer with eyes lowered. Beside her, a woman in glasses and a green-and-red shawl holds up a small ornate brass oil lamp with a lit flame. Another woman in white with hands pressed together stands at left, and a blurred person in the foreground sits near silver bowls holding white flowers and a red apple on a tray. Lit oil lamps and offering dishes are visible.2011-11-29Close photo of hands holding ornate silver oil lamps with lit flames. A woman in the foreground wears red-framed glasses, white clothing with a golden border and a brown beaded mala, and holds a lamp; her hand wears gold rings. Behind, a man in white clothes and a dark rudraksha mala looks down. In the right foreground, a hand with red nail polish and turquoise and coral beaded bracelets holds a silver lamp. The scene appears to be a ritual lamp offering.2010-08-30A photograph of an older man with short grey hair and thin-framed glasses, wearing a white kurta-style shirt with an orange-saffron shawl draped over his shoulders and a metal wristwatch. He leans in from the side, lips near the wick of a small oil lamp held in a silver stand, lighting it at a golden shrine or altar with ornate gold-patterned carving and a red-topped structure above. A blurred painted backdrop and a flower arrangement appear at the top of the frame. He appears to be performing a lamp-lighting act of worship. Appearance cues are limited to a saffron shawl and white clothing, which are not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2012-07-09A photograph of a ritual puja in a temple-style room. A shaved-headed man in a white kurta and a white sacred thread-style rudraksha mala holds a small silver oil lamp with a lit flame in his right hand, with a tilak of white ash on his forehead and a red dot at the centre. Behind him a woman in a cream sari with glasses sits with her hands folded near her chin. In the foreground, silver trays hold red flowers, red fruit and small silver dishes, and a blurred person in a beige garment sits at the lower left beside a red cushioned seat. Another flame burns at the lower left edge. The scene reads as a pada puja or aarti offering.2011-11-20A photograph of a ritual scene at an ashram. In the foreground, a woman's hand in a red-tipped finger, wearing turquoise and beaded bracelets, holds a silver oil lamp with a flame. Beside her, a shaven-headed woman in white sari with a gold border and a rudraksha mala wears glasses and a red tilak, holding a lit silver lamp.
