Narayanasami Pillai +2 copiesA framed printed poster in Tamil titled Arulalar Arunagirinathar Thiruvizha, marked 13-8-2004, a commemorative souvenir (Paarattu Malar) for a festival year. Three small devotional images appear at the top: a Ganesha with Hindu deities at left, a central deity murti with a cobra-hooded crown beside a second deity against a hill backdrop, and a standing saffron-robed figure at right. Beneath them a white-clad elderly man with a sacred ash marking on his forehead stands holding a book, shown as a printed photograph on the poster. Rudraksha beads hang along the right edge of the frame. The lines of Tamil text praise the honoured elder as a Tamil scholar and sage, with the closing honorific Arulai Tamil Kurumunivar.2004-08-13Vidwan panduranganarA printed portrait of an elderly man standing barefoot on a tiled floor against a deep blue backdrop. The figure is shown full length, upright and facing forward.Vidwan panduranganarVidwan panduranganarVidwan panduranganarVidwan panduranganarA studio-style portrait of an elderly man with short grey hair, round red-framed eyeglasses and white sacred ash with a red mark on his forehead. He wears a rust-orange shawl over a white inner garment, against a deep blue backdrop with a hillside and red flowers at the lower left. The image appears to be a printed photograph of a portrait, with no visible name caption. The page links it to a Vidwan Panduranganar memorial, but the man's appearance does not show distinctive a person cues, so he is described only by role as an elderly devotee.A photograph taken in a plain room in front of a large blackboard covered with Tamil handwriting in white chalk, with a date stamp reading 16.11.2008 in the upper left and a row of small triangular pennant flags along the top. An elderly man with white hair and glasses, wearing a white shirt-and-dhoti style white garment with a teal-striped border, stands at right holding a sheet of paper and speaking. A second elderly man in a white short-sleeved shirt and glasses sits at left beside a table, holding a pen. A red plastic chair is visible at lower right. The page identifies the standing man as the subject, but his appearance does not establish a person identity, so this is a simple description of two seated and standing elderly men.February 06 20172017-02-06A studio-style portrait of an elderly man with short grey hair, wire-rimmed glasses, and white vertical tilak marks on his forehead, wearing a white shirt under a light grey-beige shawl with a dark bead-like border.
